Kailadevi flourishing with Tigers, Receives Prestigious Machhli Award
Karauli, 20 Aug: Kailadevi Phase II of Ranthambhore Tiger Project is flourishing with Tigers. Now there are 8 Tigers although 2 Tigers are missing since long time.
T-80 (Toofan) Male along with T-118 (Female) with 2 cubs are in Kailadevi area while T-116 (Male) along with T-117(Female) and 2 cubs are in Sarmathura area of Dhaulpur.
Famous Tiger T-72 Sultan (Male) and T-92 Sundari (Female) is missing from the area since very long the monitoring team is regularly conducting search and combing operation though.
Meanwhile process of voluntary relocation is also going on, Kailadevi has 44 villages from which 1 village is completely relocated process of 3-4 villages is under process as per DCF Ramanand Bhakar DCF Wildlife Karauli.
Recently the tracking and monitoring team of Kailadevi got awarded with Machhli Award worth 1 lakh rupees by WWF India and Prabha Khaitan Foundation.
Meanwhile Kailadevi is flourishing with tigers, constant and serious monitoring is the key.
Team awarded for exemplary work includes Range officer Kailadevi Lakhan Singh, Asst. Forester Umesh Jat, Forest Guard Rahir and Rambeer Gurjar.
Machhli Award is renowned and prestigious Award on the name of Machhli the Famous Tigress of Ranthambhore given in the State for exemplary work in wildlife conservation.
