Good News Tiger Safari will start in Kailadevi


Karauli, 14 Aug : Kailadevi will soon become a tourist destination, the forest department has decided to start 3 routes for tourism and tiger safari in Kailadevi which is Part-II phase of the Ranthambhore Tiger Project.

Karauli's Kaila devi is protected area of almost 774 square kilometres, it is also a tiger habitat, also this area had a good population of Cheetal, Sambhar, Sloth Bear, Wolf, Caracal, Hyena, Fox, Golden Jackal and many species of small cats and other wild animals and birds too.

Recently Maheshwara Falls of Kailadevi made the headlines, and was promoted by local bloggers and even Rajasthan Tourism also this area is famous for its unique wolves and caracals. Many Tigers roam in this territory but it was earlier sidelined and proper tourism was not able to start here. 

Now when department itself has decided to start tourism in Kailadevi there is a ray of hope that locals will get employment as well people will be able to see Tigers, Wolves and other wild animals in different landscape. 

Ghanteshwar and Kudka khoh, Needar Taal are some places worth watching here but the safari will be only in area as decided by the forest department. 

Initially Khoda ka Naala, 45 Enclosure to Needar Taal area has been picked up as Safari Routes. It will boost Tourism in Karauli District. 

Many species of birds including Raptors like Shikra, Crested Serpent Eagle, Short Toed Snake Eagle, Oriental Honey Buzzard and various owl species like Indian Eagle Owl, Dusky Eagle Owl, Brown Fish Owl, Indian Scops Owl and Mottled Wood Owl can also be seen at Kailadevi. 

Leopards are also in good numbers in the area, from Mandrayal to Sarmuthura of Dhaulpur it provides a perfect habitat for wild animals including Tigers.
