A Tiger Reserve that is struggling for Tourism
Kota, Jhalawar, Bundi, Chittorgarh 14 Aug : Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve was declare as the Third Tiger Reserve of Rajasthan in year 2013, since then 8 years have passed but Officially Full Tourism has not started in MHTR.
There are boat safaris but No Official Gypsy Safari has started till now, after 2013 Tigers were relocated in 2018 in MHTR, and after Tiger relocation, it seems Mukundra is on its way to become a Tiger Tourism Hotspot after Ranthambhore, but when everything was going fine, suddenly within 2 years everything finished.
6 out of 7 Tigers died and disappeared, 1 tigress found injured who is still kept in a 28 hectare enclosure. Mukundra needs new Tigers soon to be shifted here for its revival.
Meanwhile there are many other things in MHTR which makes Mukundra Hills Tiger Reserve Unique.
One of largest Vulture Nesting Site is in MHTR, It's curvey landscape, it's beautiful Gorges and Chambal Passing through it makes it one the most attractive tourist destination, but until proper Tourism Starts genral public will not able to enjoy it's full beauty.
Smooth Coated otters are another attraction for MHTR, Leopard Sloth bear and Wolf sightings are frequent here, Verity of Owls are also one of the major attractions of MHTR. Grasslands of MHTR are also good breeding grounds of Black Buck.
MHTR is around 750 square kilometres, spread across 4 districts Kota, Jhalawar, Bundi and Chittorgarh.
Gagron fort of Jhalawar is UNESCO world heritage site, Kali Sindh Aahu, and Aeru are some other Rivers that passes through MHTR.
Until Officially Tourism Starts in MHTR, it's future is uncertain. It is one of the Tiger Reserve of State which is still struggling for Tourism.
