Story of the Junior Ladli the queen of Zone 8
Ranthambore, 26 July: T-61 aka Junior Ladli along with T-58 dominates the area of Zone 7-8 of Ranthambhore National Park.
She and her partner are now the major attractions of the tourists during monsoon season in open zones of RTR.
Zone no. 6 to zone 10 remains open for tourists throughout the year.
She is from the first litter of T-8 Ladli and her father was a dominant male T-34 Kumbha.
T-8 (Ladli) has given birth to 2 cubs in 2011 one female and one male, later known as T-61(female) and T-62 (male), T-61 became popular amongst tourists and was named as Junior Ladli.
She dominated the Balas area of Zone 8, her brother roamed out of the park and went towards Ramgarh Vishdhari but unfortunately, T-62 is missing for the past few months.
Junior Ladli shares this area with another dominant male T-58 of Jamoda Zone-7 and they were mostly also seen together.
In 2015 T-61 was blessed with two male cubs later known as T-95 and T-96. Meanwhile, T-96 is still there in Khandar Range but T-95 disappeared from Kundera Range since one and a half years ago.
In 2018-19 some unconfirmed reports of the second litter of T-61 come but except pugmarks, no evidence was found.
T-58 the partner of of junior ladli is a handsome male, and both are major tourist attractions.
A picture of T-58 taken by tourist guide Shakir Ali when T-58 came to drink water is worth watching.
Ladli is a hindi word which in English means the loved one, and like her mother Junior Ladli is also a loved one of everyone.
Junior Ladli is the undisputed queen of zone 7and 8.
