Arrowhead gets relief from Porcupine quill
Ranthambore, 19 July : T-84 Arrowhead the present queen of Ranthambhore has got relief from a porcupine quill which penetrated in her throat.
Recently with new litters of 3, she was seen with a quill of porcupine attached to her throat, porcupine quills have proven fatal for big cats like tigers and leopards if not treated.
Once she was found in a camera trap image with a quill attached to her throat veterinary experts have given advice to tranquilize the tigress to get rid of the quill. Even Senior Vet Dr. Parag Nigam from Deharadoon was called to do the medical procedure.
But fortunately the quill was seen removed from her throat she was seen quite healthy and fit after the quill which was removed automatically from her throat, in some media reports but still wildlife lovers dena demanded a thorough check up coz if the quill's outer visible part has broken it could be still fatal for the tigress.
After giving birth to famous Riddhi-Siddhi she is taking care of her third litter.
